Nose: it offers a round and sweet nose on hazelnuts and almonds with a truckload of butterscotch. Pine cones. Orchard fruit. The malt shines through as well, while the oak keep sits head down. Wonderful nose.
Taste: on the palate, the fruit is rather from the citrus variety. Mandarin and bergamot. The wood speaks a little louder and adds a nice spiciness (ginger, pepper and some cinnamon). Very fruity and sweet. Nice continuation of the nose, I must say. A little liquorice and vanilla join the party. Diluted it becomes sweeter.
Finish: the oak has the final say in the medium long finish.
