On the nose, the roundness and the fleshy side of this rum already prefigure the character of the Libération, its aged version. In other words, it's a whole program. This unique and complex character begins with a satiny veil made of soft notes of cane fermentation and solvent. It is almost an oxymoron, and yet it is precisely the prowess of these rums: to make greedy and accessible notes so authentically rustic.
With aeration, always the same roundness, but also an opening on citrus fruits, pepper, flowers and barely ripe fruits. It is therefore the coolness that invites itself now and offers the cane a good bath of youth.
On the palate, the rum is lighter than expected. The freshness of the pear and apple rush quickly, the pepper immediately taking over. The sensation is relatively dry, although very aromatic. It is rather in the middle / end of mouth that we find our cane fermented and swallowed with sugar.
The finish is long and vegetal, with some fresh herbs and crumpled herbs.
