BRUICHLADDICH 14yo 1991 70cl 46% OB - Yellow Submarine

Nose: spicy wood tones stand out of the glass while tough and oily streaks stick to the glass wall for a long time and flow back into the glass in slow motion. The Bruichladdich shimmers amber in the glass, apricots play with the fine wood flavors. A touch of the sea air comes from the fruity apricots while the nose is slightly discreet sprittig. A pinch of salt penetrates through the fruity nose, the salivation is massively stimulated. The fruity elements and the spicy wood harmonize perfectly with each other.

Taste: tart oak tones dominate the first impression before subtle sharpness becomes more and more intense. Somewhat oily, the Bruichladdich immediately exudes a plump warmth, subtle nut flavors come to light. Cool freshness and tart wood flavors mingle, a touch of fruit fights through the salt that is now produced. The austere oak tones now dominate the taste, again and again spicy, salt and spices penetrate through the tart wood. I fancy a subtle hint of licorice and a touch of sulfur. A very pleasant sweetness and peat note is above the entire taste.

Finish: with salty wood and a peppery pungency, the finish begins. The sharpness exudes a very chubby heat long, tart oak tones follow and end with a bitter walnut note. The spicy and tart wood aroma is remembered for a long time, a thin layer of salt covers the tongue. From time to time fruity notes flash through the interesting wood tones.
