N: More spirit than grain as expected for a 5yo but theres just enough wood to create a juxtaposition. Silverskin pickled onions, cheese & onion crisps, lemon saki, lemon sponge cake, Peppery oily grain in the old style compared to modern young Glen Grants. Lemon, curry spices, butter shortbread, At the end of the bottle, sugary ethanol, prickly stuff, sugary honey grain, rough edges, toasted somewhat, spirit led, yeasty, vegemite, peatish grain, butter biscuits.
T: Spirity for sure with mellow grain, [soft, refined barley], watery and underpowered with mild sweetness but with more bold waxy, peppery, wood spice building. By the end of the bottle, the experience was a prickly rough entrance, softened dramtically with a few drops of water. touches of citrus and pepper with a fine oily texture, mellowing as the grain takes hold, sorts itself out, grain led, with staying power.
F: The peppery spirit lingers on and on the tip of the tongue. Stringent bitter/sweet, citrusy, minerally, grainy, wood follows.
