Colour: white wine. Nose: indeed it’s smoky, and extremely mineral and herbal. The smoke is rather of the medicinal kind, so rather Laphroaiggy. Mouth: a little sweeter than expected, so rather towards demi-sec chenin (like), but indeed very peaty, almost acrid. Burnt herbs, a drop of heather honey, some green pepper, something oily (grape pips oil?) - and, guess what, much less citrus than in other relatively big peaters from that time. Finish: long, acrid, ashy and grassy.
