Nose:
Fruity nose, the Malt is directly eerily present and complex. Green fruits, apples, pears, vanilla. Floral notes can be found as well as a slightly malty sweetness in the background. The smoke that is so typical for Bowmore is sought after for a long time, at most it can be guessed at. The sweetish-fruity notes dominate and make the malt look really juicy.
Taste:
The taste of Bowmore is relatively close to the aromas shown in the noose. Floral and fruity notes alternate, a fruity-sweet note is in the foreground. After some time, some sweetish oak appears in the background and gives the malt a pleasant ripeness, without any unpleasant bitterness. In the mouth not quite as juicy, the malt looks due to the beautiful interaction with the oak now, but much older than 12 years, blindly I would have this good and like the double granted.
Finish:
Long, sweetish-spicy finish. A little lighter smoke pushes forward and stretches the finish, after the sweet spice has slowly retreated.
