Nose: needs some minutes in the glass, then reveals a wonderfully fruity Bruichladdich. Bright fruits, green grapes and green apples. Light vanilla.
Taste: sweet, sweeter. This is where the bourbon barrels come into their own. Golden honey and vanilla full, the malt becomes sweeter and creamier with every second on the tongue. At the same time, the Enlightenment is pleasantly strong thanks to the 53.7% Vol. The fruits are somewhat in the background, but after some time, some oak and a touch of salt.
Finish: long and slightly spicy finish, the sweet honey sticks to the palate for a long time, resulting in a sweet and spicy finish. No trace of bitter notes.
